Welcome to the Garretson Elementary School!
We are all very proud of our great students and families that make up our school and community. The goal at Garretson Elementary is to see each student grow to his/her potential academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Teachers strive to demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and work hard to keep up with current practices in education. We have a safe and caring school where each child is valued for the person they are and the contributions they bring school. Most of our students begin elementary school in our preschool program that consists of half days, Monday through Thursday. We have two sections each of each grade, K-5, with an approximate enrollment of 275 students. Parents and guardians play a crucial role at GES. It is our desire to build a strong partnership between the school and home so we can work together in helping children develop their skills to their fullest potential. Parents are always welcome to visit the school. We offer families many opportunities to take part in their child’s learning experience at school and are eager to offer support for parents who are willing to work with their children at home.
